About

So ILL Veggies is a community-driven initiative dedicated to promoting access to fresh produce and resilient food systems across Southern Illinois. We believe everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food, and we’re working to make that vision a reality by growing, sharing, and educating.

Our mission is simple: we combat food deserts by providing locally grown produce and engaging the community in sustainable gardening and farming practices.

By partnering with local farmers, schools, and volunteers, we collect surplus and B-grade vegetables, which are distributed to community members, schools, and other organizations in need.

Through hands-on educational programs, So ILL Veggies empowers people of all ages to reconnect with their food, learn the art of gardening, and grow for themselves and their communities.

Join us as we plant the seeds of change and build a healthier, more connected Southern Illinois.
